Queensland Railways opened Redbank in July 1958 to look after the new diesel fleet, and it took 25 years for all the work to move across from Ipswich. As well as day-to-day maintenance it handled QR's big rebuild programs on older Clydes, turning out the 2300s, 2250s and 423s, and more recently Queensland Rail's 2900s. Aurizon sold the site in 2014 and leased it back, and since 2016 Progress Rail has run the maintenance there.

Based in Redbank, Qld.
