Railmotors were QR's answer for suburban and country services that didn't justify a steam hauled train. So far we cover the Comeng-built fleet from the 1950s: the 1800 class from the early 50s, the two Budd-style 1900s of 1956, and the 2000 class, which first arrived the same year and ended up working nearly everywhere in the state. The 2000s are the ones you're still most likely to ride, on the Savannahlander out of Cairns, with Outback Aussie Tours at Longreach, and on a number of heritage railways.
The older railmotors, including the various red railmotors and the McKeen cars, haven't been covered yet. They're being researched and will be added soon.
