qrig.org is a long serving member of the rail enthusiast community, starting in late 1999 with a number of carry over members from the aus.rail Usenet group - with an original membership of just 12 ... up to the current ~700 members in 2010.

These days QRIG lives in two places: this website, with its reference material on Queensland's railways, and the QRIG Facebook page, where members share news, sightings and photos. Earlier services like the forums, Yahoogroup and members gallery have been retired, though the old group posts and gallery are still archived and linked from About Us.
