The 2150 class are fourteen locomotives, 2150 to 2163, built by Clyde in 1978-79 as part of the 2100 class family, and ordered for the Norwich Park mine. They introduced a modular control system and had their sandboxes moved from the nose to the bogies.

The class has since been scattered. Four were sold to TasRail in 2011, where they entered service as the 2050 class, and seven were exported to South Africa in August 2013. In 2014 Aurizon sold three back to Queensland Rail, and members of the class have since been rebuilt at Redbank as part of Queensland Rail's 2900 class.
