The ACD class are Aurizon's newest C44acis, ordered from UGL in 2021 for its interstate intermodal business. The first, ACD6046, entered service on 19 March 2022, and ten were running by February 2023, with ACD6055 wearing Aboriginal artwork on its long end. Two more, ACD6056 and ACD6057, joined them in mid 2024. The order was originally planned to run through to ACD6075, though it was later cut back.

They work Aurizon's intermodal services between Perth and Melbourne, Melbourne and Brisbane, and Sydney and Perth, and some are based in Western Australia.
