    • Clyde DEL2475 entered service.

  2. 1988

    • HOLMVIEW-Beenleigh, Southern Main Line, electrification energised

    • Walkers-built DEL1174 removed from traffic after 31 years service [destroyed in 1-1991].

  3. 1989

    • Clydes DEL1469, 1478 & 1487 all removed from traffic after 25, 24 & 24 years service respectively [all destroyed in 7-1993].

  4. 1994

    • DEL1707D worked #6611 DALBY-TOOWOOMBA as its last train in original livery.

  5. 1996

    • Goninan Qld-built DEL2816 entered service.
